Road to Wrestlemania at Oracle Arena, February 11th, 2018

On Sunday, February 11th, 2018 WWE presented WWE Live: Road to Wrestlemania at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. US Champion Bobby Roode successfully defended his title against (former heavyweight champion) Jinder Mahal and Baron Corbin, proving how glorious he is, fighting off two-on-one attacks with strategy and high-impact maneuvers. The New Day members Big E and Xavier Woods (with Kofi Kingston in their corner) took on the new team of Primo and Mike Kanellis.

From start to finish the New Day had the arena audience chanting and cheering, picking up another win with the tag-team titles within reach. Womens’ champion Charlotte Flair defended her title in a 5-woman battle against the “Queen of Harts” Natalya, “The Ravishing Russian” Lana, “Ms. Money in the Bank” Carmella, and Becky Lynch. Flair celebrated her submission victory ringside with her fans, posing for selfies and signing autographs.

“Breezango” Tyler Breeze and Fandango were squashed by the “Bludgeon Brothers,” Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, in the quickest match of the night. Breeze is rendered immobile with a boot to the face for the three count. 2018 Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura fought Dolph Ziggler on his way to headlining this year’s Wrestlemania event. The match between these legit grapplers starts out technical and ends with a stylish flying knee, knocking out Ziggler.

The main event is a triple threat match for the WWE championship. Champion AJ Styles vs long time friends Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. AJ’s high-flying offense overcame the combined efforts of Owens and Zayn as their union broke down when they both wanted the title for themselves.
