The Grand Opening of the Haight Street Art Center

The long awaited Haight Street Art Center a museum, gallery, studio, and space for art classes, had a public grand opening Saturday July 1st and a private reception that evening. The opening exhibit on display “The Art of Consciousness” featuring more than 90 seminal psychedelic poster works from 1965 to 1967. Included in the hundreds of attendees were poster art legends such as Wes Wilson, Stanley Mouse, Dennis Larkins, David Singer, and  and musicians such as Roger McNamee and Jason Crosby.
