Be The Holiday Hero With Exceptional Handmade Gifts

We’re all looking for great opportunities to impress family and friends over the holidays and what’s better than showing them how special they are with some handcrafted arts and crafts made specifically for them. Connect2Classes has pulled together an exceptional group of arts, crafts, and culinary instructors for classes and workshops you’ll leave with something truly unique to share.

Adults and teens can enjoy glassblowing together with Public Glass in San Francisco – it’s all about manipulating very hot, molten glass, stored in the furnace at about 2,100°F and kept between 1600° and 1900°F while working. Though glassblowing can be a challenging and demanding process, the creative possibilities of form and color are endless and highly rewarding. You can choose from classes in the core skills of glassblowing, as well as specialty classes in sculpting, interdisciplinary techniques, advanced shaping focuses, and more. Handmade gift options include glass cups, ornaments, picture frames and beads.

Alameda Art Lab offers classes in stained glass, mosaics, fused glass and other art classes for adults, teens, and kids and is offering holiday gift making in two sessions. Each week you will learn to use different media and tools to create amazing holiday gifts. At least five distinct gifts can be made, which will include fused glass, mosaics, and stained glass suncatchers.  In all the projects, you will learn hands-on skills (and safety rules!) such as using glass cutting tools, grinders and operating soldering irons.  Alameda Art Lab also offers gift making classes for adult and kids to work on together.
