The SF Weekly today learned the identity of the man who fell to his death at yesterday’s 49ers-Minnesota Vikings game at Monster Park.

The victim was Torrey Kretschman from Roseville, CA. north of Sacramento, according to the San Francisco medical examiner's office. The 31-year-old's family was informed prior to his name being made public.

Kretschman apparently attempted....

to sit on the four-foot-high, six-inch-wide wall on the stadium’s upper concourse between sections 5 and 7 yet toppled over the side and fell roughly 20 feet to the mezzanine below.

Paramedics worked to revive Kretschman for half an hour before pronouncing him dead on the scene.

James Fiorica, an investigator at the medical examiner’s office, said it will be several weeks before it can be determined if alcohol played a role in Kretschman demise.

This story will be updated as we learn more.
