This short video from SFist shows cops getting aggressive with protesters yesterday. According to the Chronicle, about 150 people got arrested yesterday during the citywide protest marking the 5th year of the Iraq War. The largest gathering took place in the evening hours in front of City Hall and one organizer estimated the crowd numbered 7,000. The Chron has more photos and videos here.-Andy Wright

The San Francisco Street Food Festival was another success this year. Dozens of vendors with original, unheard-of creations, such as deep fried mac and cheese on a stick, black pea paste pancakes, and Korean quesadillas. Then there was the comfort foods we've grown accustomed to, like creme bruleé, shrimp rolls, and pound cake. Photographs by Mabel Jimenez.
