The Gathering Storm: Rainy-Day Pix From Our Favorite Floating Photographer

Posted By on Fri, Jan 22, 2010 at 6:30 AM

Last year, one of the most-viewed stories on this site was a series of stomach-churning photographs of a sea storm just outside San Francisco Bay snapped by tugboat chef and ace photographer Gabor Gardonyi.

Gardonyi later sent us beautiful photos of sunsets and porpoises frolicking in the Bay. Now, however, it's nasty weather that's once again serving as Gardonyi's subject matter. This latest batch of photos he sent us seems like a progression; it starts with "The gathering storm" and gets worse. Then it gets better. Stay dry!
