It was a little after 2 in the morning on Cinco de Mayo, and two police officers were making the rounds at Polk and Sutter streets, looking for auto burglars. They spotted a man, which wouldn't normally have been all that suspicious. Then he ducked between the cars.

The officers stopped to investigate. What was this strange, ducking man up to?

He had, um, just been buying some cigarettes. At that store over there. He pointed at a business that the cops knew had been closed for hours. Doh!

At that point, the officers were going to need to see some

identification. Appearing extremely nervous, the man reached into his

pants pocket, and pulled out a card holder. Then he quickly put it back

in the pocket. Sorry, he told the officers. He didn't have an ID on him.

Sorry, an officer told the man. He just saw the ID right in the card

holder. The man reluctantly took the card holder back out, and handed it

over. It held a few different IDs, actually, and they all had the man's

picture, with different names attached.

In the card holder, the officers also found a bindle of what looked like

powder cocaine. They also found on the man a few more rocks of

cocaine, $2,700, and three cell phones. He was promptly arrested.

There's a lesson here people: if you're gonna (allegedly!) deal drugs, try not to be a total spaz about it.
