  • Tempers flared in San Francisco last week...

Last week we wrote about a strange, albeit international, incident in the south of the city. A menacing group of hoodlums surrounded a stumbling drunk and asked him his country of origin. Not liking the answer, the leader of the pack said he was from a different -- and, in his eye, better -- nation. He then stabbed the drunk.

The countries involved were redacted from the initial police writeup. But now we know.

Per the San Francisco Police, the victim told the mob he was a "proud Mexican." The knife man then replied he was from El Salvador.

And to top it off, everything happened on Brazil Avenue.
