Former Giants superstar Barry Bonds, who became the center of a steroid investigation, will appear in San Francisco court tomorrow where he will learn whether or not he's going to jail.

The former slugger was found guilty of obstruction of justice in April, yet the jury was deadlocked on three perjury counts, which led Judge Susan Illston to declare a mistrial.

Jail time for that charge is between 15 and 21 months in prison, but Bonds' lawyers are relying on a report by a

federal probation officer to bolster their recommended for his probation -- which includes community service and some form of house arrest.

Federal prosecutors are asking the judge to play hardball, and give Bonds at least 15 months in prison.

Bonds will have until Dec. 30 to file a notice of appeal.
