Medical Authorities have identified the man who was shot and killed late Sunday night as 20-year-old Jahmad Karriem.

Police were called to the 300 block of Louisburgh Street at 11:33 p.m, and found Karriem shot in the chest.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he later died. Police had no more information at this time, nor did they have a description of the suspect.

The shooting is the city's 17th homicide this year. Last week, police found 21-year-old Diondre Young shot to death near the Bay Bridge.

Anyone with information on this incident are encouraged to call police at their anonymous tip line at 575-4444 or by text at TIP411.
