The San Francisco medical examiner released this sketch today, hoping someone will help authorities identify a man who was hit and killed by a Muni bus last month.

The victim was hit on March 25 at about 10:45 a.m. as he stepped out from between two parked cars into oncoming traffic. The man was hit by the 21-Hayes bus, near Fillmore, where he was pinned under the bus, police said.

According to the Medical Examiner's office, victim is described as a Hispanic man in his late 30s to early

40s. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a distinctive white

"Dark star" T-shirt and loose, parachute-type pants. He had on white Puma tennis

shoes with orange stripes.

Police told SF Appeal that the victim was not carrying any identification at the time of the accident.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Medical Examiner's office at 553-1424.
