Public parking lots are kind of like adult sandboxes -- they're full of bullies who just don't respect you or your toys.

We bring you an example of this from the Outer Mission, where a driver and a pedestrian got into it -- and for seemingly no reason at all. Sometime around 1:23 p.m., a man was driving through a parking on the 2900 block of Alemany, looking for the next open spot. But he was delayed by a slow pedestrian who was leisurely making his way through the lot.

According to police reports, the driver believed that the man was walking slowly on purpose, to delay his finding a parking spot. So the restless driver honked at the man, which probably startled him.

The pedestrian walked right over to the driver's side window and smacked

the victim upside the head, according to police reports.

The victim got out of his car and chased the bitch-slapper through the lot, but was not able to catch up to him -- and like every bad bully, he got away.
