Now is the time to take back all the really mean things you have said about Justice John Roberts. The very conservative Supreme Court Justice gave us a reason to think that things just might be okay when he not only sided with the liberal justices on Obamacare, but wrote the majority opinion upholding the controversial health care law.

In a 5-4 vote this morning, the Supreme Court ruled that the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, was constitutional, especially the central part of the plan that says uninsured Americans must to get health care coverage one way or another or pay a tax penalty.

Of course, GOP Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney has already made it clear that if elected, he will do anything and everything to repeal the law. Here's what his campaign adviser, Terry Holt, was quoted saying:

"Obama might have his law, but the GOP has a cause. This promises to galvanize Republican support around a repeal of what could well be called the largest tax increase in American history."

But you can't really get any more conservative than Justice Roberts, who was appointed by former President George W. Bush. And yet he said as long as this is a "tax" being levied then the court really can't forbid it. In the end, he stepped out of his conservative mold, pissed off Republicans, and basically saved Obamacare.

"Because the Constitution permits such a tax, it is not our role to forbid it, or to pass upon its wisdom or fairness," Roberts said.
