It was a bloody weekend in San Francisco, where four people were stabbed and shot to death and a 94-year-old woman was brutally attacked in broad daylight.

We already reported earlier this morning two of the homicides that happened on Saturday. In the first incident, 19-year-old Jose Escobar was shot to death as he walked through the Mission neighborhood. Later than night, a 30-year-old man was found stabbed to death inside a car parked in SOMA. Authorities have not yet identified the victim.

Yesterday, two more people were killed in the Tenderloin, including an unidentified female, according to Officer Albie Esparza.

At about 1:51 a.m., police were called to the 400 block of Eddy Street where they found a woman stabbed. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police had no information about the suspects other than they were men between the ages of 25 and 30 years old.

Later that morning, officers were called to the 600 block of O'Farrell just before 10 a.m. where they found a deceased 62-year-old man. Police say the man, who has not been identified yet, died from a head injury. They're aren't sure when he was killed.

The four slayings brings the city's homicide rate to 57 this year.

Today, a 94-year-old woman is clinging to life after she was attacked from behind as she walked through Chintatown this weekend.

Police say the woman was crossing the street at Stockton and Sacramento about 3:45 p.m., when a man approached her from behind and punched her in the head "for no apparent reason," according to police.

The woman fell to the ground and hit her head, leaving her with a possibly fractured skull and life-threatening injuries.
