San Francisco police arrested a third man who they say is also responsible for vandalizing a Muni bus before it was set on fire during as San Francisco celebrated the Giants World Series win last month.

On Friday, police took 24-year-old Adam Diaz into custody and charged him with two felony counts of vandalism and destroying a passenger transit vehicle. He was booked into San Francisco County Jail.

On Oct. 29 about 12:30 a.m., vandals smashed the windows of an 8X-Bayshore Express before setting fire to it at Market and Third streets. A freelance photographer snapped photos of at least one of the suspects which was later printed in the Chronicle and circulated on Facebook. With the help of the public, police tracked down two of the suspects; last week they arrested 19-year-old Nicholas Hudson, a Daly City resident, and about two weeks ago, they charged Gregory Graniss with felony vandalism.

According to police, the photos show Diaz, who was wearing all dark

clothing and a baseball cap, use a skateboard to break windows

on the side of the bus. An additional suspect is seen in one of the photos using a barricade breaking the front windshield of the Muni

bus. This suspect is a black male in his 20s wearing a red shirt with gray horizontal stripes. You can see photos of the unidentified suspect here.

Police credit the public with publicizing the images and helping to track down all three suspects. So thanks for that.

Anyone recognizing any of the suspects is asked to call the SFPD Special Investigations Division/Arson Task Force at 920-2944, the Anonymous Tip Line at 575-4444, or text-a-tip to TIP411 and begin the text with SFPD.

The San Francisco Street Food Festival was another success this year. Dozens of vendors with original, unheard-of creations, such as deep fried mac and cheese on a stick, black pea paste pancakes, and Korean quesadillas. Then there was the comfort foods we've grown accustomed to, like creme bruleé, shrimp rolls, and pound cake. Photographs by Mabel Jimenez.
