KTVU has obtained important video footage that shows 23-year-old Ernesto Xe Acosta just seconds after he was gunned down in Hayes Valley -- and the suspect vehicle.

On Feb, 10, Acosta, a Whole Foods employee, was walking to a friend's house at Webster and Hayes streets when he was shot to death. The video shows Acosta running and collapsing as well as a white 2010 to 2012 Lexus ES 350, where police say the gunfire came from.

Police are hopeful that people attending an event nearby at Yoshi's Nightclub that night might have seen something or someone related to the homicide.

"He wasn't involved in the criminal element in any way and he has a family that cares for him a lot," Sgt. John Burke told KTVU.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call SFPD Homicide Detail at 553-1145, or the anonymous tip line at 575-4444. You can also text a tip to TIP411 and begin the text with SFPD.
