2 Chainz kept denying to his fans that he had been robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco last week, despite police statements, video footage, and detailed media reports, stating otherwise. But now that the surveillance video showing the robbery went viral, it seems the Atlanta-based rapper had no choice but to fess up the story.

In fact he did more than just confirm the robbery when he went on an Atlanta radio station a few days ago; the hip hop star gave all the juicy details about what happened that afternoon when he was walking through downtown San Francisco, a city he says he usually feels comfortable in.

2 Chainz went on 107.9 in where he said he was going to give the blow-by-blow about the robbery and "be through with it."

Here's some highlights from the 18-minute interview:

It was like a .357. It was so heavy he couldn't really hold it. The gun was so big. That's what made me take off running. When I went into the street, there was another dude with a whole 'nother gun," he added. That's when I knew it wasn't like an episode of Punk'd. I was like this is real...I had bullet fragments in my hair...I think he thought he shot me.

I just got up and in my mind I thought he was shootin in the air .. one of my friends pulled me to the side ... he didn't want to tell me in front of everyone, he said 'bro they shot you.' They went to get an ambulance ... it done got real they started pulling out yellow tape.

So I see one little cop clapping his hands sayin 'we need to hurry up and figure out what we're going do,' So I said we're gonna figure it out ... we got in the car and left.
