It's a bad day on BART, that's for sure.

Another person was struck and killed this afternoon when a northbound train was moving through the Hayward station, creating major delays for the afternoon commute.

The train struck a man at about 4:18 p.m., closing the station to commuters. Emergency crews are on the scene now and the coroner is en route to the Hayward station, says Lt. Tyron Forte.

Forte said commuters can expect major delays, especially in the immediate area around the Hayward station. Specifically, trains running along the Fremont to Daly City and Fremont to Richmond lines in the Hayward area are late, according to BART.

A bus bridge is being implemented to assist riders who are stuck.

This is the second person that was killed in a BART incident today. Around 9:06 a.m., a person was hit and killed by a BART train at the Colma station, shutting it down for nearly two hours as crews investigated.

The San Francisco Street Food Festival was another success this year. Dozens of vendors with original, unheard-of creations, such as deep fried mac and cheese on a stick, black pea paste pancakes, and Korean quesadillas. Then there was the comfort foods we've grown accustomed to, like creme bruleé, shrimp rolls, and pound cake. Photographs by Mabel Jimenez.
