Medical authorities this morning said it was 60-year-old Debra Crenshaw whose body was pulled from the minivan that for unknown reasons plunge into the bay on Friday evening.
According to police, the van went into the water off Marina Green Friday evening; divers found the van later that night, however, because it was too dark, they marked the vehicle and returned Saturday to recover the van.
The van, which was reportedly submerged in mud about 25 feet below the surface, was pulled from the water Saturday morning, according to police.
On Friday at about 5 p.m., Crenshaw drove her minivan through the parking lot of the Marina Green and up over curb, right into the Bay. Several passengers inside the van were able to escape, however Crenshaw was still in the van when it sank, according to news reports.
Here's some video of a group of men who attempted to rescue a screaming Crenshaw from the van.
