Original Story 12:11 p.m.: San Francisco police arrested 48-year-old Andrew Glen Rice who allegedly attempted to set fire to a Marina fuel dock last week.

According to police, Rice attempted to set fire to the Gashouse Cove Dock on the morning of Sept. 11. However, he didn't exactly success, as only the dock bench was burned.

"[The suspect] stole some gas and attempted to create fire," said owner of the Gashouse Cove Christine Kaplan, who said she was first on the scene. "Fortunately, the fire wasn't successful -- thank God."

Security cameras captured the fiery scene, which helped the cops track down the suspect. Rice was arrested the following day someone tipped the cops off to his whereabouts.

He has been charged with arson, possession of a combustible substance with the willful and malicious intent to use and trespassing. The investigation is still open, pending witness identification, according to police.

Kaplan said the Gashouse is still under police surveillance.
