San Francisco police have nabbed 38-year-old Christopher Bailey, the man who they say is responsible for at least five robberies of cellphone stores across the city.

On Oct. 5, police were called to a cellphone store on the 1500 block of Sloat Boulevard where they busted Bailey right after he allegedly robbed the business at gunpoint.

Bailey was attempting to flee on foot, but police surrounded the plaza where the store was located and caught Bailey after a short chase.

"This suspect has been connected to five other cell phone store robberies throughout San

Francisco," said Sgt. Danielle Newman.

Bailey was arrested and charged with eight counts of robbery, one count of possession of stolen property, and resisting arrest. He was taken to San Francisco County Jail where he was presumably allowed no more than one phone call.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact Sgt. Mason at 553-

1201 or the Anonymous Tip Line at 415-575-4444. Messages can also be sent via mobile phone to Text a Tip at TIP411. Begin the message with "SFPD."

The innovative stage and lighting used gave the arena show an intimate feel, and engaged audience members in all sections of the venue. Photographs by Sugarwolf.
