A woman in her 60s was hit last night by a driver who was cruising through the Sunset District without a license to drive.
Sgt. Eric O'Neal says police were called out to the intersection of Ulloa and 39th avenues at about 9:45 p.m. on reports of an injured pedestrian. When police arrived, they found the victim -- who was only described as a woman in her 60s -- who had been hit by a car as she walked through the crosswalk.
The pedestrian was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with unknown injuries. She is in serious but stable condition at this time, police say. The driver remained at the scene and was cited for driving without a license and without headlights on.
The pedestrian may have been intoxicated at the time of the collision, police say.
