San Francisco Cops Arrest Suspected T.J. Maxx Shooter

Investigators have arrested an Oakland man linked to a shooting that took place at a San Francisco's TJ Maxx store last month.

Henry Smith, 29, was arrested near Leavenworth and Ellis streets in the Tenderloin last Wednesday on suspicion of attempted murder. According to police, Smith was at the TJ Maxx on the 800 block of Harrison when he got into an argument inside the store. The verbal altercation quickly spilled out onto the street. and escalated when Smith allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the groin.

The victim told police he was shot while chasing Smith after he allegedly stole his cellphone.

Smith was booked into San Francisco County Jail on charges of attempted murder, robbery and aggravated assault with deadly weapon.
