The family of  Mi-Yana Gregory, the 2-year-old girl who was killed in a hit-and-run collision last Friday, is asking for you to donate cash to help them cover the cost of the girl's funeral.

Gregory was with her 25-year-old aunt Lorysha Gage and twin brother at about 10:37 p.m. when a driver plowed into the young girl and drove off. Gregory died at the scene. Police say the family had just left a movie and were walking across Mission and Fifth streets — against a green light — when Gage left Gregory in the crosswalk to grab her brother who was still standing at the sidewalk. It was then, the four-door sedan hit Gregory.

Last night, police announced that they had arrested Gage on suspicion of felony child endangerment. She's scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.

Meanwhile donations are pouring in and as of this afternoon the family had raised $$1,145 for "My-My Gregory." Their goal is to raise $5,000 within the next three days.

Gregory's family left the following message on the fundraising website

This is the memorial fund for Mi-Yana Gregory, the 2-year-old victim of a hit and run incident in Downtown San Francisco. ANY amount helps and is greatly appreciated as the family struggles to cope with this devastating act.

The Chron is reporting that that the family will gather Sunday at noon  Duggan's Funeral Service at 3434 17th St. in San Francisco to remember the little girl.

Police are still looking for the driver who killed Gregory; they describe the suspect vehicle as a white mid-90s four-door sedan, either a Camry, Honda, or Lexus with a dark-colored mismatched front bumper and dark or black rims.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police anonymously at (415) 575-4444.
