The San Francisco Police Department reports that a man in his 50s was killed in a collision with a car on Tuesday evening around 5:30 p.m., near the intersection of Alemany Boulevard and Silver Avenue, a couple blocks from the Glen Park BART station.

“Our hearts are heavy this morning, and our thoughts are with family and friends of the victim,” the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition tweeted this morning.
Update, 4:50 p.m.: The victim has been identified as Moises Chavez, 51.
