Two parents had a rough Sunday morning after their baby was kidnapped from a vehicle near Victoria Manolo Draves Park in SoMa. The incident took place around 8:50 a.m., when the baby was snatched from the father’s parked car while he was preparing a bottle for her nearby. According to the San Francisco Police Department, the mother was on her way to meet her husband and the baby at the park.

One witness reported seeing a woman with the infant getting on a Muni bus. Police issued a citywide alert, and it was a Muni driver who spotted the pair on a bus near Bayshore Blvd. and Arleta Ave., alerting authorities. According to police, the baby was reunited with her parents by 9 a.m. ABC 7 News posted a video of the arrest:

If the baby girl was truly only gone for less than 15 minutes, that’s a remarkable feat in a jam-packed city.
