Update, 11:50 a.m.: According to a UPS spokesperson Steve Gaut four people were killed in the attack, including the suspect. The shooter was a UPS employee.

A shooting at a UPS facility at 17th and Vermont streets around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning has closed down the area as San Francisco Police Department investigates.

Our sister publication San Francisco Examiner reports that witnesses describe seeing a man “shooting everybody.” Six to eight gunshots were heard. Robert Kim, owner of Action Auto Care nearby, sheltered people in his building who fled the scene.

As of 10:30 a.m. SFPD has yet to make a statement on the situation, though there are rumors of injuries and possible casualties.

For live updates, follow the Examiner’s coverage of the situation  as they report from the scene.
