Beer Dinners, or the Fine Art of the 'Brew Fixe'

There's no steadfast rule to putting together a beer dinner except, duh, you should have good food and pair it with good beer. Beyond that, they come in all shapes and sizes, meaning number of courses and the hit your wallet will take.

Proving attending one doesn't have to be a big investment, tonight at Social Kitchen and Brewery, chef Dante Simoncini and brewmaster Rich Higgins kick off Social's monthly beer dinners with a “brew fixe,” four courses for $30.

On Monday, Chenery Park continues the regular series of beer dinners it started earlier this year by inviting Central California brewery Firestone-Walker for a five course meal to the tune of $85. Chenery Park's Rich Rosen (who's also a co-owner of Pi Bar) has put together the following menu:
