On Pins & Needles: SF Weekly Tries Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

The last few weekends have been a decadent blast, but with Pride and the Fourth of July behind us, it's time to put down the beer, start going to bed at a reasonable hour — and poke ourselves in the face with needles.

We're not talking about Botox, we're talking about facial rejuvenation acupuncture — something we had never tried before our editor asked if we were willing to give it a spin poke.

Charmingly nestled in the Cow Hollow District, we took some needles in the face from acupuncturist Kim Peirano, whose office radiates comfort and ease — despite the fact that those in waiting room will eventually be poked and prodded by some 40-plus needles by session's end.
