Ike's Place Faces Sudden-Death Hearing Tomorrow Over Castro Eviction

Vegansaurus is reporting that Ike's Place finally has a court date: tomorrow. From Vegansaurus:

On Tuesday, June 29, the court will hear a motion for summary judgment against [owners Ike and Huda Shehadeh]. If Ike loses, he'll have no opportunity to go to trial and have his side heard, and he would have to close immediately. To “win” tomorrow, Ike will have to show that the facts are in dispute, and that the case deserves to continue on to trial.

The hearing takes place at the Superior Court of California at 400 McAllister Street, Room 301. Vegansaurus links to the original complaint, and asks fans of the Castro sandwichery to add their names to Ike's e-list, and voice support via a short list of e-mail questions.

We say fans of the “Hella” Fat Bastard might want to plan to endure the Ike's line today, just in case a sudden-death loss tomorrow means Shehadeh will be shuttering his 16th Street shop for all eternity.
