Maybe it's just us, but music and food pairings seem to be all the rage these days. (Props to the Bay Citizen for pointing this out.)

Now, graffEats and Noise Pop are making the burgeoning relationship official with a clever Covers event next week — Chef Blair Warsham will “cover” six famous gourmet dishes by other chefs, and Noise Pop will pair all of them with thematically appropriate songs that cover tunes by French songwriter Serge Gainsbourg.

The event was originally scheduled for Sept. 8, but organizers added a Sept. 7 date when the first sold out.
