Plus the last Herbivore dies, Fiorella gets a new chef, and Doc’s Clock gets a reprieve.

Delarosa Happy Hour

Both locations of Delarosa (37 Yerba Buena Lane and 2175 Chestnut) have rolled out a happy hour menu of three cocktails, wine by the glass, pizzetta, and antipasti for $6 and under, with a few beers at $4 and carafes of wine going for $17. It’s every weekday, 4-6 p.m.

Herbivore on Valencia Closes

Herbivores are going extinct due to habitat loss. Mission Local reports that one year after the Divis location closed, and a week after the Berkeley restaurant shuttered, the 19-year-old Herbivore (983 Valencia) has also ceased operations. It was the only one left, and there are comparatively few vegan restaurants remaining in the Mission.

Fiorella Gets a New Chef

Outstanding Outer Richmond pizza-and-pasta restaurant Fiorella (2339 Clement) has gotten a new chef: Dante Cecchini, the former chef de cuisine at Marlowe. With expanded weekend hours — staying open until 11 p.m. — this means they’ll be putting out new menu items, like a cucumber and fennel salad with crème fraîche and fresh mint, and a chitarra pmodoro with cherry tomatoes, garlic, basil, and parmigiano reggiano.

Doc’s Clock Resets

Threatened with an impending loss of its lease next summer, 55-year-old dive Doc’s Clock (2575 Mission) will move a block-and-a-half up, to a now-vacant former cafe at 2417 Mission. Socketsite reports that there are no definite plans for its magnificent neon sign.
