Mid-Market's newest fancy food court, called The Hall, is now open at Market and Sixth Street. The market, in the old Hollywood Billiards building, is like other local food halls Second Act Marketplace and 331 Cortland in that it features a lot of vendors in one place. Unlike those locations, it's set to leave after a two-year lease, making it a kind of extended pop-up.
The Hall features food from beloved meat purveyor The Whole Beast; the first brick-and-mortar from Vietnamese food truck Little Green Cyclo; Raj + Singh Indian fare; coffee and tea from Dignita; and Moroccan-Peruvian fusion from Cassia, a permanent spot from the Fuki food truck. A lot of the menus are available on the website.

The aesthetic is wood, brushed aluminum, and bright touches of color; there are plenty of tables for eating and hanging out. Items are priced between $5 and $15 and the hall is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Judging by the dearth of good lunch options in this corner of downtown, it seems inevitable that The Hall will have a successful run.
