This morning a crane lifted the sign for Public House into place on the façade of AT&T Park, just in time for tomorrow's tapping ― and naming ― of the days'-old sports pub's house ale. At 5 p.m. tomorrow, Magnolia brewer Dave McLean will hoist a pint glass, we presume, of the house bitter he's making for Public House, after first tapping the cask. Publicist Liz Einbinder says you'll be able to cop a free taste (standard practice on all 24 drafts at Public House). Beyond that, you'll have to pay ($8 for a 16-ouncer, $5 for 10). Special food pairings, too, including pigs in the blanket, lamb sliders, 4505 andouille, and German potato salad. No word on whether you'll be able to influence the naming by shouting out your choice, or if ale's tag has been precooked.
