If you’re any of the above (and even if you’re not), Brian Eno is here to help — or at least his deck of cards is. Called Oblique Strategies, the Brian Eno- (and Peter Schmidt-) designed cards have been around since 1996, offering answers, tips, motivations, and a whole lot of other random, bizarre things to those in need.
Now in its fourth edition, the cards were created using “basic working principles” culled from Eno and Schmidt that helped them in moments of pressure. With helpful and sometimes humorous sayings, like “Turn it upside down,” “Decorate, decorate,” and “Give way to your worst impulse,” the idea is that these cards will be useful for, you, too just like they were for its creators. And if anything, it’s bound to make you laugh or be a fun party “game.”
And if you don’t want to buy the physical pack of cards, you can consult a digital version of them here.
