Bay Area rapper G-Eazy — whom we interviewed in Feb. — has already opened pop-up stores in S.F., L.A., New York, and New Orleans, and now, on Saturday, Dec. 10, he’ll be opening up his first pop-up in Oakland.
Located in the historic Cathedral Building in downtown at 1615 Broadway, the store will be open through Friday, Dec. 16, and feature an assortment of products — like G-Eazy merchandise and never-released collaborative items with the Oakland A’s, New Era, and Levi’s — as well as a coffee shop and barber shop.
Throughout it’s one-week in operation, different events will happen on each day, like a G-Eazy meet and greet on Tuesday, Dec. 13, and a Too $hort listening party on Thursday, Dec. 15. Vallejo rapper Nef the Pharaoh and Berkeley emcee Caleborate will also be doing signings on Wednesday, Dec. 14, and Marty Grimes will host a pizza party on Tuesday, Dec. 13, with performances from Rexx Life Raj, Grimes, and Larry June.
The last day of the pop-up, Friday, Dec. 16, will be Mistah F.A.B.’s annual toy drive, though attendees are encouraged to bring charity donations throughout the week.
