Curses on New Gotham House and the “Vampire Lifestyle”

It's not hard to imagine the dark house sounds of DJ/producer Curses serving as the soundtrack to a haunted mansion dance party. With melodies reminiscent of Tangerine Dream mixed with '90s Chicago house, Curses is the alter ego of Trouble and Bass founder Drop the Lime. While his first release as Curses came out in 2008, the new project remained on the shelf until this year, when he was inspired at a few New York after-hours gigs to release the single “So Good.” Curses recently took a minute between studio breaks to talk about his new projects and the success of “So Good.” He plays this Friday at Mezzanine with Simian Mobile Disco and Egyptrixx.
