Fat Mike of NOFX and Fat Wreck Chords announced today (via an awkwardly filmed YouTube video) that in celebration of the San Francisco label's 25 anniversary, several Fat Wreck Chords bands will be headed out on a national tour together.
So far the tour's lineup includes:
Bad Cop/Bad Cop
“Plus special secret guest Rise Against,” Mike joked in the video while listing off bands. “Oh right, Rise Against called and said there is no way in hell they're doing this tour.”
[jump] The announcement also teases a two-day outdoor festival in San Francisco that will, according to the press release, “shut down the streets and blast out the tunes.” We're assuming the label is talking about one of the streets down around its office near Bayshore. But, it could also be referencing Thee Parkside's outdoor concert configuration (the one the venue pulls out for big shows and events like Cocksparrer or BARF).
We'll keep you posted as more info comes out about the San Francisco shows (August 22-23) becomes available. In the meantime, other upcoming Fat Wreck-related shows include the Leftöver Crack show on May 9 in Oakland (as part of the SF Drug Users Union benefit) and the Good Riddance + Bad Cop/Bad Cop show on June 5 at Slim's.
