Fat Wreck Chords Announces Location and Details for 25th Anniversary Fest

Fat Wreck Chords will be celebrating its 25th anniversary of “ruining punk rock” by throwing a festival Aug. 21-23 headlined by NOFX. When Fat Mike originally announced the festival, in this awkward YouTube video, he hinted the label would be shutting down some San Francisco streets for the big blowout. Now the label has officially announced that those streets would be the ones directly outside Thee Parkside.

[jump] The party kicks off Aug. 21 with a screening of NOFX's Backstage Passport 2 at Thee Parkside, followed by a Q&A with members of the band. There will also be a surprise performance by an unannounced band (but not NOFX). There aren't single-day tickets for Friday, so you'll need to snag a weekend pass if you want to ask Fat Mike if he'll be beating up and then befriending any fans on Saturday or Sunday.

On Saturday and Sunday, starting at noon, Thee Parkside will transform into its outdoor concert configuration setup like it did for the Pirate Press 10-year anniversary (with Cocksparrer).

Tickets are $45 for each day, or $100 for a three-day pass.  Here is Fat Wreck Chords co-owner and co-founder Erin Burkett and Lagwagon’s Joey Cape chit-chatting about the fest:
