Lightning in a Bottle, the Do LaB’s art-and-music festival in Central California that’s like a smaller and less commercialized Burning Man-Coachella hybrid, has announced its 2019 lineup — and it’s pretty fantastic.
For this year’s festival (May 8-13), the headliner is none other than Disclosure, the UK garage/house duo that’s set to release its third album this summer, along with experimental hip-hop artist Flying Lotus, instrumental jazz duo Big Gigantic, electropop singer-songwriter Elohim, Santigold, Lane 8, and others.
Notably, both the dates and the location have changed. Formerly held over Memorial Day weekend at Lake San Antonio in extreme southeast Monterey County, it’s now a few weeks earlier and held at the more shade-filled and swimming-friendly Buena Vista Lake near Bakersfield. This would be fine, but it now interferes with a lot of college finals, much to the chagrin of some studious fans. Don’t worry, there’s still going to be a Woogie stage.
Earlybird tickets are already on sale, and general admission tickets ($395) become available tomorrow, Feb. 16, at 10 a.m.
