Thursday night’s Band Together concert raised $15 million (and counting) for low-income and vulnerable populations displaced by the October’s North Bay wildfires. Thanks to Metallica’s YouTube channel, even those of us who weren’t there can watch on demand, high definition video of performances by Metallica, Dead & Company, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, and G-Eazy.
G-Eazy: 0:00 – 17:40
Dave Mathews and Tim Reynolds: 25:12 – 1:14:25
Dead & Company: 1:26:50 – 2:21:44
Metallica – 2:39:35 – 3:49:05
There are some pretty tearjerking moments between the sets, with homages to the 42 victims who perished, video from some of the most devastating moments and uplifting recovery stories, and of course “pets reunited with their humans” anecdotes. You’ll also catch some cameos in between sets from Barry Bonds, Renel Brooks-Moon, and others.
The concert has already raised $15 million for fire victims, but you can add to that total by donating at TippingPoint.org.
