Ah yes, another beautiful weekend in San Francisco. And not just any weekend — Labor Day weekend. Three glorious days of playing in the sun. For those of us who can't afford tickets to all the Slow Food Nation fun (or for those freaks who hate eating), here's some other stuff going down this weekend.
If you missed reggae superstar Lee “Scratch” Perry at the Independent last night you're in luck: he's staying around for another night. Tickets are $25 and the show starts at 9. Come out and support local music atThe Great American Music Hall which hosts what promises to be a fantastic show with Oakland's WHY? and Tussle from right here in San Francisco. (Check back here for a review later this weekend.) Thinking you'd prefer a movie? Head to the Sundance Kabuki for the Italian film “Days and Clouds,” the story of ” A stable middle-aged couple faces a crisis with an unforgettable emotional impact when the husband is suddenly fired. Nominated for 15 David di Donatello Awards (Italy’s Oscars).” Though, if you've got a car Saratoga is the place to be. The one and only Chicago will play Friday and Saturday. It's the best way to keep you feelin' stronger every day.
