It seems like the gun debate is reignited every time there's a mass shooting, only to be forgotten shortly after. Meanwhile hundreds of thousands of people continue to die each year from gun-related violence nationwide.
A couple of San Francisco residents are doing what they can locally to halt gun violence with the power of crowd funding. Ian Johnstone and Eric King started an indiegogo campaign to raise $20,000, which would go toward a gun buyback program in San Francisco, dubbed gunbygun. They're launching their campaign tonight with a fundraiser at John Colins at 138 Minna St. The event starts at 6 p.m.
