Dogpatch Bartender Identified as Victim of Fatal Sunset Fire

The 28-year-old woman and Third Rail bartender died in a Tuesday morning house fire that displaced six residents.

A Dogpatch bar is mourning the loss of a bartender who was identified as the victim of Tuesday’s fatal house fire on Wednesday.

The Medical Examiner’s office identified Kelsey O’Leary, 28, as the woman pronounced dead at the scene of a house fire that broke out in the Inner Sunset around 3:30 a.m., Bay City News reports. Dogpatch bar Third Rail also announced the loss of O’Leary on Wednesday and that they would close until Thursday. 

“Yesterday we lost a beloved friend, family member, and bartender. It’s with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to someone as loving, funny, and talented as Kelsey O’Leary,” Third Rail wrote on Facebook.

The fire displaced six residents, including a child at the Funston Avenue home, between Irving and Judah streets. First responders sent a man was sent to the hospital and was expected to survive.

Third Rail will open for five hours on Wednesday, beginning at 5 p.m., with a limited menu of her cocktails “to celebrate her life and honor her memory.”
