You know it's never going to turn out well when politicians piss off the official League of Pissed Off Voters.
The group, which comprises voters ranging from their late teens to early 30s, fired off a letter this morning to members of the Board of Supervisors, namely the six whom it helped get elected, asking them to hold Ed Lee accountable as a progressive mayor, if that's what he is claiming to be.
“We worked our asses off to help you get elected,” the letter reads. “If
you give a free pass to an interim mayor who continues the status quo
for the next year, we're not sure how we'll explain that on our next bar
crawl.”
The letter is addressed to John Avalos, David Campos, Jane
Kim, Eric Mar, Ross Mirkarimi and president David Chiu, ostensibly
the progressive members on the board.
