LGBT Poster Burned at San Francisco High School, Police Say Not a Hate Crime

A flyer advertising a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered event at an Ingleside high school was set on fire, not once, but twice.

At about 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, firefighters were called to the 200 block of Oneida Street after there was reportedly a fire in the women's bathroom. Firefighters found an LGBT flyer had been torched.

After they extinguished the fire, and students returned to class, a second fire alarm sounded at the high school, said Officer Albie Esparza.

Police would not disclose the name of the high school.
