A man who said he had a gun forced a Muni driver to take him to another location on Sunday night, police say Monday.
The Muni driver was driving around Sunnydale Avenue and Hahn Street — near John McLaren Park – around 9:40 p.m. when a man got on board. He approached the male driver, said he had a gun and threatened him to drive to a specific location, police say.
But just one block later at Sunnydale Avenue and Santos Street, the suspect hopped off and fled. The driver and passengers were not injured.
No weapon was seen.
Police have not made an arrest but describe the suspect as 20 to 30 years old, about five-foot-seven, 140 pounds and as having black hair.
