Muni Operators Forced to Accept a Contract They Don't Want

Last week, Muni operators sent a strong message to management when the union overwhelmingly rejected the contract proposal on the table, which would have, among other things, frozen their pay and revamped disciplinary process.

But that message was fired right back yesterday, after an arbitrator ruled that the tentative contract TWU Local 250-A rejected is actually the best deal all around — for operators, management, and riders.

And that just infuriated an already pissed-off union, which is truly starting to feel the effects of Proposition G, the Muni reform measure voters passed last year.
