Kenton Rainey, BART's new chief of police, is a man on the move. After politics forced him out of the top cop job in Fairfield last year, the 51-year old spent less than six months as head of police at the San Antonio Airport before leaping right into the calm waters of BART.
Rainey's top task is to undo the damage done by the Oscar Grant killing. Last week, BART cops were returned their tasers. Step 1, check. Today, Rainey's mission continues.
