Pasha Ali, Youth Football Coach, Acquited of Gun Charges

A Pop Warner football coach will walk free after a San Francisco jury found him not guilty of firearm offenses arising after a bizarre series of events in 2009.

Pasha Ali was facing up to three years in state prison, but instead he'll continue his career coaching kids.

The version of events argued by 34-year-old Ali at the trial could pass for a particularly implausible script for an Ameriquest “Don't Jump To Conclusions” commercial. “This case goes to show that things aren't always as they appear,” said Public Defender Jeff Adachi, who is running for San Francisco mayor.

Apparently not.
